Hi! My name is Katie Kovalaske and I am excited to be coaching this year. I have been a Brookstone Barracuda for 11 years and I love this team. Meets are my favorite part of the season and I am looking forward to cheering with everyone this summer. My goal this season is to help everyone grow as swimmers while having fun at the same time. I am a senior at Apex High School and will be graduating in June. When I'm not busy with school, I am an assistant coach for YOTA at Taylor, working with the green, white and purple group. Outside of swimming, I love music and watching sports. (Go Packers!) I'm looking forward to a great season with the Barracudas!
“Hello! My name is Lara West, and I can’t wait to be coaching again this year! This is my 7th year as a Barracuda, and it’s my personal goal to be each swimmers biggest cheerleader! I’m a rising senior at Apex High School, and was an assistant coach for YOTA at Taylor Family YMCA. This fall, I'm going into my 4th season with the Marlins of Raleigh swim team, and in the winter I’ll be swimming my 3rd season with the Apex Cougars Swim & Dive team. Outside of swim, I love books & games of all shapes and sizes. I’m so excited to see all our swimmers this year, new and old faces alike!”
